JUPITER HOTEL | BRAND
Jupiter Hotel located in East Portland was in need of updated branding to help bridge their existing hotel with their Summer 2018 launch of Jupiter NEXT. The new hotel would cater to business professionals while Jupiter Hotel caters to young adult travelers.
For the design I focused on what makes the Jupiter Hotel unique, which is the Doug Fir. The lounge itself has tree rounds encompassing the bar giving the Doug Fir a rustic yet modern Portland vibe. I was inspired by this look to juxtapose the modern aesthetic found in the typeface with the hand-rendered tree rounds to play off the iconic stumptown Portland.
